After running the bent gastropod omnibus off the road and into a ditch while eating a haggis (a tough but necessary lesson learnt), the artist once known as BGO returns in a slightly darker suit with a armful of miserable ditties about paralysis and psychosis. Must have been something in that ditch water.

This album was popular with at least one local journalist, who took the extraordinary step of composing a positive review for The Press. Fortunately for him, and the once respectable reputation of the newspaper, we are unable to source this clipping to present as evidence of gross misconduct.

All music and lyrics composed and constructed by PW except A Strange Day which was written by Smith, Gallup & Tolhurst.

This album was recorded on a Fostex X-26 between August and October 1994 at Spent Member Studio, Stigmata Studio and Mother’s living room. Additional overdubs made January 1995 at Knife Hole Studio B. Mixing occurred on a fine January 7 1995 at Knife Hole Studio.

All technological duties handled by PW with assistance from D Khan, particularly in the loaning of equipment.

Originally issued on cassette, March 1995. Limited edition of 25 initially with a reissue sometime in 1996.
